HALLOWEEN IS FINALLY HERE!

Dear Parents,

The children had so much fun celebrating Halloween in school. They started off the day by decorating pumpkin cookies with frosting and sprinkles, mmm... were they good!  The children also made Halloween witches, clowns, princesses, and even monster puppets. We concluded our day by having a fabulous Halloween parade. The children looked so adorable in their Halloween costumes.  I am sure you will all agree.

Piano lessons with Yuting:

This week during Mandarin class with Yuting the children were given spider-web plates with Chinese numbers on them. They read the characters on the plate and then put the correct number of spiders on it. They were able to identify numbers 1 through 6.

We concluded our week with a visit from Marlene Neumann, Luisa's Mom.  She taught the children all about St. Martin's Day, a Holiday celebrated in Germany.  She read the children a story about sharing and helping others.  The children made lanterns to honor St. Martin, who was famous for helping others who were less fortunate than himself.  The lanterns are used to light up the neighborhood.

We look forward to starting our  Thanksgiving unit next week.

Love,

Ms. Bonne and Ms. Barbara
