SPRING IS HERE!

Dear Parents,

We have spent the last two weeks preparing for your Mother's Day surprises.  We had discussion about the three things it takes for flowers to grow such as: sun, water, and fertile soil.  We then planted Zinnia flowers.  After planting the flowers we made edible dirt cups.  It was so funny listening to the children say, "We are not eating dirt!"  First we mixed chocolate pudding and milk.  Then we added whipped cream and crushed Oreos.  Finally we poured the mixture into clear plastic cups, sprinkled Oreo crumbs on top and added a few gummy worms.  The results were spectacular!  The children loved them!

We celebrated two birthdays this week:  Liz and Luisa's.  We would like to thank Liz's family for the delicious cupcakes.

HAPPY 5TH BIRTHDAY LIZ!

We would also like to thank Luisa's  family for the wonderful ice cream sandwiches and popsicles.

 HAPPY BIRTHDAY LUISA!

HAPPY EASTER/HAPPY PASSOVER!

Dear Parents,

We had so much fun celebrating Easter in school this week.  First we decorated Easter baskets and then we colored eggs with the Quarter Note Class.  The children had so much fun dipping their eggs in the different color dyes.  They were so surprised to see how beautiful the color was.  When the eggs were dry the children decorated them with stickers.

The highlight of the week was when we went on a egg hunt.  The children each found at least six eggs on their walk.  They put them into their basket along with the eggs that they had colored.

Love,
Ms. Bonne and Ms. Barbara
